Real Madrid contact Valencia's David Albelda
Unwanted Valencia midfielder David Albelda is a target for Real Madrid.
DiarioSport says Real and Albelda's representatives are exploring legal avenues that would allow him to move to Madrid during the winter market. As the midfielder has played more than five Liga games this season, Spanish transfer laws currently prevent him from joining another Primera team.
Albelda's agent, Alberto Toldra, knows Real want to sign him and if they can successfully challenge the ruling preventing him from moving to Madrid in January, they will sign his client.
In Albelda's favour is the perception that he has been effectively sacked by Valencia and informed he has no chance of playing again for Ronald Koeman's first team this season.
